I found this resource to be simple yet informative. It provided many examples of the different levels of SAMR being used in the classroom. This is useful for me to consider planning for technology use in my classroom.

The curator’s topic shows 8 different subjects or units and examples of how ICT could potentially be included in the lesson. The SAMR cycle will be used as a basis for my mini-unit. The ideas of the SAMR framework will shape my lesson sequence for Year 7 Health and Physical Education unit. Each level of the framework will be used to implement ICT into every lesson. The article I rescooped shows how to transform a lesson through the SAMR cycle

The SAMR Model can assist me in creating different levels of application of digital pedagogies. This ensures that each student is getting an optimal learning experience and is engaged.

In 2013/14, I only used novels in English class and even then only to provide time away from a screen.  Every other class and activity used digital resources and engaged technology to find, sort, contextualize, and share information.   This is a very interesting infographic.

Digital devices are re-shaping the classroom. I've seen some new tools in action.  As educators, we should learn how students are using these new tools and adjust our teaching appropriately.

This definitely speaks to the support that older students will need to be successful in online programs!  For some of these students, the technology learning curve will be steep but doable....... especially if they are used to reading a book in print!
